Lauren Gil De Montes is a Junior Research Assistant at Florida International University majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience. She is interested in understanding how brain activity relates to behavior and cognition, and how neuroscience research can eventually translate into better treatments for neurological disorders. Lauren plans to attend medical school and become a physician while staying involved in research throughout her career. Outside of academics and research, she enjoys working out, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
